Dust Archive2022-

_a directory for the preservation of former & temporary intervention.

Borne from, and specifically curated around the inherent impermanence of interior design as an industry, Dust is a personal project depictung a nature and intent of preservation: one day, arguably every space will be eligible to exhibit amongst these pages. Across varying typologies - exhibition, retail, hospitality, workplace - Dust highlights histories and lessons in design fell by the ever-changing winds of consumer and civic evolution.

Dust’s archive seeks to unearth and preserve spaces destroyed or eliminated, providing a reference catalogue allowing these histories, these purposes, these memories and the intentions to be preserved: to speak of another time, to identify and recognise the consumer and civic evolution in respect of the formerly tangible space as much as the achievement and effort of the individuals involved in the inception.

Dust is currently under construction, beginning as a social media directory, with aspirations to become an complete interactive web catalogue - encompassing public submissions of media, stories and anecdotes from the former spaces, used to incite and enhance the notion of spatial memory and developing into traversable digital 3D/CDI representations in some specialised instances.
